Candidates must be a seasoned project manager with experience in a marketing, public relations, digital or advertising agency setting.. Weber Shandwick seeks an experienced VP, Integrated Project Manager for the New York Project Management team who will work closely with senior account, creative, and strategic partners as well as manage project managers across a portfolio of brands and projects.. Responsibilities:. Be a key operational business partner in managing a large account or portfolio. Build and sustain key relationships with internal teams, clients, procurement. Manage multiple simultaneous brands and projects. Drive consistency in project management skills and solutions. Mitigate and provide creative solutions as issues and risks arise and share insights and improvement learning opportunities with extended PM team. Implement agency and client-side operational efficiencies and facilitate effective team integration. Work across multiple internal and client stakeholder teams to facilitate operational best practices. Proficient in helping some teams develop and manage detailed SOW's as well as manage the day to day team tracking and delivery across project workstreams. Candidate should have experience with different types of projects and deliverables, including: strategic presentations, creative concepting and development, video, digital, event-based programs and vendor integrations. Candidate should demonstrate effective team resource management, in collaboration with discipline leads, and with network resource managers. Should display proficiency in anticipating resource needs, as well as articulating expectations with internal teams and clients around how quickly resources may or may not be available.. Minimum requirements:. 8-10 years project management experience. Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience. Ability to effectively improve operations and processes at an agency and brand level. Strong financial management skills. Excellent communication skills. Strong experience with scoping, development of budgets and schedules for complex programs with multiple workstreams. Preferred requirements:. Prior career management experience mentoring project management teams. Lead PM or Business Operations for a large account or portfolio of brands. Desired Qualifications:. Be a strong hands-on, rubber-meets-road type that can organize and operate multi-faceted projects. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal team members across multiple levels, building trust in your abilities to get the job done effectively. Have excellent organization and time management skills. Be comfortable digging into account finances: developing staffing models, writing SOWs, tracking burn rates. Be a demonstrated self-starter and work well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. Show a clear ability to work autonomously, with solid decision-making skills. Ability to adjust deliverables and define them in detail in SOWs. Should be able to significantly contribute to keeping clients and projects on track so there are no overages.. Knows when a change order is needed and works with account team to communicate the change proactively to the client (before it is too late to ask for more funds).. Creates and maintains key project documentation to a very detailed level - the PM is the owner of making sure all details are accurate and included where needed across all project deliverables (even ones the PM does not draft).. Escalates issues at the appropriate time and with the right approach (whether internal or with the client).. Shows proficiency in managing up and managing down within the project management team structure.. One of the most important aspects of being a Senior PM is the ability to be the conductor of the project/team and be a proactive, solution-oriented, and strategic leader (not reactive)..
