Cloud Security Operations Engineer This role can be in Bloomfield (CT), Nashville, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Raleigh, or Denver The Cloud Security Operations Engineer is a highly motivated and technically adept Information Security professional responsible for establishing, leading, and managing security operations initiatives related to security monitoring for internal and external threats and incident response, mitigating risks and protecting the Health Services Data Platform environment which processes and stores personal, sensitive, confidential, health data, and protected health information. This position will be responsible to support the introduction of new technology and processes to optimize countermeasures for cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS, etc.). Specific deliverables will support implementation of cloud focused security technologies including, but not limited to Cloud Security Access Broker Data Loss Prevention in the Cloud API security gateway Cloud Endpoint Intrusion Prevention and Cloud Identity brokering and federation. Responsibilities Performs installation, testing, monitoring, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technology Manages systemapplication environment and ongoing operations Proactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologies Troubleshoots software andor hardware issuesfailures Resolves alerts and performs remediation activities Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systemssoftware owners Collects and presents data for reporting and planning Assists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systemsapplication administration Collaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiatives Assist in identification of alternative configurations and approaches to enable business needs Serves as a liaison with IT and business area partners to identify, understand, document and advise on security requirements, impacts and risks. Develops and maintains documentation for security systems, procedures and security diagrams Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least 5 years or more in large-scale enterprise security information and event management, incident response, and cyber security incident management.
