The Director of Supply Chain Management will assist the Operations team with tasks related to purchasing group, project, and supplier management, forecasting, project execution, and process improvement.
Director of Supply Chain Management What Youll Be Doing Purchasing Group Management
Ensure purchasing staff support the sales order delivery requirements with on time, high-quality products at competitive prices
Manage the purchase of MRO items to gain cost reductions
Establish and maintain controls for compliance with company procedures and prudent risk management
Support international fulfillment needs and corporate governance guidelines/policies
Oversee the procurement and assembly/fulfillment functions for the organization
Oversee assembly and staging for in-house finished products and complex shipments
Develop sources for companys product requirements
Identify second source for all critical products
Implement a supplier evaluation program
Ensure proper agreements are in place with all critical suppliers
Assist in evaluations of outsourcing versus manufacturing for particular products
Support any and all company needs regarding regulatory compliance
Forecasting and Reporting
Prepare and manage the product forecast to ensure that we have quantities on hand to meet customer demand
Develop and publish reports for management that measure the purchasing departments performance against goals and supplier performance against goals
Drive a positive culture of process improvement including awareness, rewards, recognition, skills training, and proper use of LEAN/5S methodology
Define and implement a sustainable quality business strategy
Engage CBORD teams to share best practices and build community within CBORD
Promote and host process improvement methodology training
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for all purchasing related activities
Define the Quality Business Excellence and partner strategies and performance improvement opportunities
Project Execution & Management
Analyze and identify performance improvement opportunities across CBORD
