The Estee Lauder CompaniesExecutive Director, Value Realization & Optimization, Packaging Value Creation in New York, New York Executive Director, Value Realization & Optimization, Packaging Value Creation Brand: Est e Lauder Companies Description Location: NYC or Melville Strategically prioritize, lead, and deliver on enterprise wide value creation projects encompassing cost, agility, sustainability, and business continuity initiatives utilizing data analytics and proven methodologies, (Ideation workshops, Lean/CI, and Project Management) to drive efficient value delivery. Build market share and competitive advantage by driving leading edge capability in Packaging and ensuring EDGE in technical execution across all activities, drive robust collaboration across the E2E Engineering Group, Supply Chain, R&D, and Brands Lead global projects in cross functional teams to execute value realization opportunities and deliver on set annual targets for assigned projects Develop and lead Global Ideation workshops across Brands, Regions, and Packaging Categories, prioritize projects and assign teams to optimize value delivery Develop successful collaboration with key stakeholders outside engineering, in order to appropriately inform, influence, and execute on projects. Key stakeholders include brand marketing leadership, internal plant teams, QA, Procurement, Packaging up to VP level Search new applicable technologies both within and outside our industry in order to continuously evaluate best practice and support product innovation (Resins, connect with Corporate Strategy to proactively support Growth 5 year plan New bullet) Drive value realization by researching concepts for new technologies and/or new ways to apply existing technologies. Build business case for moving forward with technologies by working closely with a cross function team with input from Brands. Independently leverage predictive analytics, CI, Project Management approaches (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, CAD, automation, robotics) in order to effectively and independently develop and drive key initiatives, and effectively form, lead, and influence project teams to get to desired outcome. Provide comprehensive feasibility of each concept or package that defines function, manufacturability, component cost, tooling estimates, preliminary development lead time, risk and global consistency Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of materials used in the construction and manufacturing of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging including knowledge of decorating techniques and materials used on primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. Comprehensive knowledge of test methods used to validate component/package performance Project Management and Ideation expertise Preferred Degree: Mechanical / Package / Industrial / Chemical Engineering Licenses / Certifications: CPP Preferred Bachelor of Science 15 Years Minimum Experience 10-20% travel time #LI-MK1 Job: Manufacturing - Supply Chain Primary Location: Americas-US-NY-New York Job Type: Standard Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time We are an equal opportunity employer.
